1. Definitions

"Service" refers to watch repair, diagnostic, recovery, and preservation services provided by Vernier Haunt. "User" or "You" refers to any individual who accesses our website or engages our services. "We", "Us", and "Our" refer to Vernier Haunt, operating from 91 Nam Kỳ Khởi Nghĩa, Bến Thành, Quận 1, Hồ Chí Minh 70000, Vietnam. "Agreement" refers to these Terms and Conditions in their entirety. "Timepiece" refers to any watch or clock submitted for service.

2. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing our website or engaging our services, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, you should not use our website or services. You must be at least 18 years of age to enter into this agreement.

3. Service Description

Vernier Haunt provides professional watch repair and preservation services, including diagnostic assessments, water damage recovery, and vintage preservation. Services are available at our workshop in Hồ Chí Minh City. Service availability may vary based on parts sourcing, workshop capacity, and the complexity of individual timepieces. We reserve the right to decline service requests that fall outside our area of expertise.

4. Service Process

All services begin with an intake consultation, during which your timepiece is documented and catalogued. A diagnostic assessment or initial evaluation is performed before any further work is recommended. No additional work is carried out without your explicit written or verbal approval and agreement on costs. Estimated timelines are provided in good faith but may be subject to change due to parts availability, complexity discovered during work, or other factors beyond our control. We will communicate any significant timeline changes promptly.

5. Pricing and Payment

Prices for our services are quoted in Vietnamese Dong (VND). The Diagnostic Assessment is priced at 8,500,000 ₫, Water Damage Recovery starts from 20,000,000 ₫, and Vintage Preservation starts from 48,000,000 ₫. Final pricing may vary based on the specific needs of your timepiece and will be confirmed before work begins. Payment is due upon completion and collection of the serviced timepiece. We accept bank transfer, cash, and major credit cards.

6. Client Responsibilities

You are responsible for providing accurate information about your timepiece's history and any known issues. You agree to collect your timepiece within 30 days of being notified that service is complete. Timepieces not collected within 90 days of service completion, despite reasonable attempts to contact you, may be subject to storage fees. You agree not to misrepresent the nature or value of items submitted for service.

7. Intellectual Property

All content on our website, including text, images, design elements, and logos, is the property of Vernier Haunt and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or use any website content without our prior written permission. Service reports and documentation provided to you are for your personal use only.

8. Disclaimers

Watch repair and preservation involves working with mechanical components that may have pre-existing conditions not apparent during initial assessment. While we exercise professional care and diligence in all work, we cannot assure specific outcomes, particularly for watches with significant pre-existing damage, age-related deterioration, or components that are no longer manufactured. Our services are provided on a best-effort basis using professional standards appropriate to the horological industry.

Estimated timelines are approximations and are not binding commitments. Factors such as parts sourcing, unexpected complications, and workshop scheduling may affect actual delivery dates.

9. Limitation of Liability

Our liability for any claim arising from our services is limited to the amount you paid for the specific service giving rise to the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages. This limitation applies to the fullest extent permitted by Vietnamese law. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits our liability for gross negligence, wilful misconduct, or any liability that cannot be excluded by law.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold Vernier Haunt harmless from any claims, damages, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your breach of these Terms, your use of our website, or any misrepresentation regarding items submitted for service.

11. Termination

Either party may terminate the service agreement at any time. If you wish to withdraw your timepiece from an ongoing service, you are responsible for the cost of work already completed. We reserve the right to discontinue service if we determine that the work falls outside our capability, in which case any payments for uncompleted work will be refunded.

12. Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam. In the event of any dispute arising from or relating to these Terms or our services, both parties agree to first attempt to resolve the matter through good-faith negotiation. If a resolution cannot be reached informally, disputes shall be submitted to the competent courts in Hồ Chí Minh City, Vietnam.

13. General Provisions

These Terms constitute the entire agreement between you and Vernier Haunt regarding the use of our website and services. If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect. Our failure to exercise any right under these Terms shall not constitute a waiver of that right. We may not assign our obligations under these Terms without your consent, except in connection with a business transfer.

14. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date. Your continued use of our website or services following such changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
